Sidepockets is a pool hall in Pryor Oklahoma that is owned by the client, James Smith, who has been the business' owner for some 20 years. What follows is a summary of the story thought to be behind the location's paranormal activity as it was related to lead investigator Shane B. by Smith.
The Story
A previous owner of the pool hall married a woman who had a mentally challenged son. The husband was a very wealthy man, but was unpleasant. He and his wife had been married for some time when one day the son was found beaten to death upstairs. It was rumored the boy had gotten into the owner's paperwork containing his crooked business dealings.
The Claims
Smith reported that he had had many experiences, including black shadows, faces on the walls, pool balls flying off the table, and a full-body apparition.
The Investigation
Experiences/Observations: During the first investigation of the site, Shane had a feeling that he was being watched.
Research: No records of a previous owner with any type of criminal conviction could be located. None of the story's information was confirmed by records of the location's history; indeed, the story had been stated to be only a rumor.
Findings: Among the evidence that was collected, around 20 pictures were taken. These yielded the primary piece of positive evidence in the investigation: a photo showing a luminous blue light and a possible orb. In the photo (shown below) a strange blue light seems to appear on the TV screen, even though the TV is turned off. A possible orb is also visible.
Follow-up: Intrigued, the team returned for a second trip to try to debunk the blue light, and to attempt to capture EVPs. No further evidence has been uncovered by Shane's team to date.
The Conclusions: DEBUNKED!

When Shane returned to try to recreate the blue light, initially he could not. But the explanation was subsequently determined. It seems that, though an investigator had mistakenly affirmed the TV to be turned off at the time that the photo in question was taken, the TV was, in fact, turned on. Smith had been watching a DVD prior to the first investigation, and while it sat on pause a logo had briefly appeared and moved around on the otherwise fully black screen. The orb in the photo was also dismissed as a probible piece of dust.
The Outcome
Smith still has unexplained activity, and the Oklahoma team maintains an ongoing investigation of Sidepockets.
In an effort to gather alternate opinions, Smith had mediums, psychics, and other ghost hunters come in to investigate. Some seemed to think that there are indeed three spirits dwelling at Sidepockets. Shane's team hopes to come across at least one of them during a susequent investigation. We will keep you posted on any updates when and if they develop.
